background / biography
Owen Sartori has been performing and writing original music for over two decades, starting his career as a 9 year old rock drummer, and later as the front-man for "Push" and "A Band Called Delicious," two well-received and well-reviewed midwest modern rock outfits. In early 2005 he decided to shed the comfortable familiarity of the band scene in favor of a solo musical endeavor.

But what good is a new musical endeavor without a new record? That's when Burst Records and Producer Daniel Holter took notice.

The release they've been working on for over a year now is called "Another Beautiful Day in the Cube." Daniel and Owen have enlisted some of the recording industry's heavy hitters to help with this record, including Kenny Aronoff - Drums (John Mellencamp, Alanis Morissette, Smashing Pumpkins, Michelle Branch) Tom Tucker - Mixing (Prince, Lucinda Williams, Johnny Lang) John Ferraro - Drums (Rod Stewart, Carly Simon, Barry Manilow, David Benoit) Dave Marotta - Bass (Toni Braxton, Phil Collins, Manhattan Transfer, Adam Sandler) and Chris Mosher - Keyboards, Programming (Bon Jovi, Steven Curtis Chapman, Sixpence None the Richer.)

The end product is a first-rate collection of highly emotive, wickedly funny and extremely well-crafted pop/rock songs ala Jason Faulkner, Jon Brion or Glen Phillips. Everybody... from office dwellers to dating-sceners to aging hipsters... you need to take notice. Owen Sartori may have created your anthem.
