5/17/2010 Update(s)

Hey all, this is caBooSe, so if I ever refer to myself as I in this entry then you know.

Anyways, we're trying to wrap the track listing up so we can start recording the vocals for our songs. I'm not going to say how many tracks there will be, but there's going to be quite a lot. x3

So, after we wrap up the track listing and record vocals we're going to be memorizing whatever songs we need to for our first show [well our first show since we've been back, technically our third show]. We still need to find a location, but that shouldn't be too hard. We're very excited for this new album and to start performing live once again. I hope everyone else is as excited as we are. If not, then you might be after you come to our returning show.

Awhile back we were talking about how joining our mailing list would get you a leaked song from our upcoming album, well you no longer need to join our mailing list and there is two more song you can download for free at "http://www.mediafire.com/freeSTERETsongs". So go download those and give them a listen. If you'd like to give me feedback, feel free to leave it anywhere you can find me/us.

Anyways, that's about it.
Oh wait, we're also making a music video for our fist single, if you didn't know already.
More info on that soon, as well as more updates... ♥

Take care, stay crazy, and don't try to kill too many people in the process.

Okay, so we've been working hard on making a new album. As of now we are getting pretty close to almost being ready to record all the vocals for all of our songs that are going to be on the album.

Anyways, the reason I posting this is to let everyone know that we uploaded the song "Freq Out" and our remix "Star Wolf Theme (STERET Remix)".

Listen and enjoy. If you ask us we're improving greatly. :3 Take care!

Fahir Atakoglu releases his latest and third Jazz CD, Faces & Places. “As a follow-up to his hard-hitting fusion offering, 2008’s Istanbul in Blue the accomplished Turkish-born pianist-composer-arranger Fahir Atakoglu casts a wide stylistic net on Faces and Places, deftly incorporating musical elements from Spain, Brazil, the Middle East and New York City into the compelling mix. On board for this dynamic outing are such world-class players as trumpeter Randy Brecker, guitarists Wayne Krantz and Romero Lubambo, Yellowjackets saxophonist Bob Mintzer and the outstanding rhythm tandem of bassist John Patitucci (a longstanding member of the Wayne Shorter Quartet and a composer-bandleader in his own right) and the great Cuban drummer Horacio “El Negro” Hernandez.” Bill Milkowski

Fahir Atakoglu is an international award winning composer and pianist well known in the fields of large symphonic works and film music. His works have been performed in various music festivals in Europe and The United States to critical acclaim, he is considered one of the most outstanding pianists and composers in the world today.

This has been a long time coming. Jeremy and Kyle have done a wonderful job on this site since I have been gone. I think after awhile on Myspace, I have grown sick of the sheer amount of garbage and marketing on that piece of shit site. I deleted all of my stuff.

Although I still have about 6 monikers, I have been working under the name MONOMAN for about the last year. My style in beat production has grown, as has my recording studio. I have been dabbling in non-nonsensical, gibberish, free-flowing raps as of late, and although some say they have some innate meaning, I write them for sheer enjoyment.

I will be creating a new page for MONOMAN as soon as Jeremy authorizes my ish!

Stay tuned.

Pierre Sibille

Introducing Pierre Sibille a French R&B/Jazz musician, who is releasing his first CD in North America, entitled “Since I Ain’t Got You.”

“Three elements work in his favor: he is a pianist with a sure touch and a harmonica player, which is fairly uncommon, and he is also a « natural » singer who does not force his voice.” -- Soul Bag -Jacques Perrin

An excellent singer, as well as a pianist-organist and a superb composer, Pierre Sibille is one of those rare French-speaking musicians who can blend Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder with Lou Donaldson and Horace Silver.

“With his personality, composed yet very fiery when on stage, he is a real master of Rhythm’n’Blues and Jazz.” -- Nova magazine-Sir Ali

Pierre Sibille has the rare sensitivity and charisma of a good R&B musician.

“ . . . In France, one of the main figures in this category is Pierre Sibille. Through the gift of a husky voice typical Southside, a Hammond organ played naturally with "a dirty sound" and some very well written music. . ." -- Nova magazine-
Sir Ali

On “Since I Ain’t Got You” there is an authentic jazz touch that pervades the individual technical quality of all the musicians. Moreover, the contribution of the American brass section, both catchy and caressing, is a definite plus.

“The French texts are of a high quality and his personality is clearly expressed. The results are really excellent.” -- Blues & Co n°15-Nicolas Burgot

Pierre Sibille began his career at the age of 14 in the clubs of the South of France. Deeply inspired by Blues and Soul Music, his musical identity keeps on growing in different musical genres. His expériences at festivals and Parisien Jazz Clubs have moved him to the recording of his third CD entitled, « Since I Ain’t Got You » which you’re about to discover, right now !

Fahir’s 2005 release “If”, with legendary Bass Player Anthony Jackson (Paul Simon, Eye Witness, Michel Camilo,) and acclaimed Drummer Horacio “El Negro” Hernandez (McCoy Tyner, Michel Camilo, Carlos Santana), demonstrated Fahir’s virtuosity with the music that he composed for the Istanbul National Ballet’s performance of East Side Story.

2008 saw the release of Fahir’s highly anticipated 15th album, “Istanbul in Blue”, in which he takes the listener through a deep exploration of his unique rhythmic melodies and harmonies.

Fahir continues to showcase his talent for blending music from different cultures in sold out live performances and on recordings. Fahir’s compositions speak with striking originality, and always remain connected to the culture of his motherland.

Musical Director and keyboardist, Marc Z., says he formed the project out of a desire to bring Radiohead's music to the Twin Cities. "When I saw that Lollapalooza in Chicago was going to be closet the band would come, I decided Radiohead fans in the Twin Cities were just as deserving of this music."

Members of "What's That? (a Radiohead Project)" were recruited entirely through an ad placed on Craigslist. "Quite a few people responded to the ad, and asked to audition," Marc says. "When I pointed them towards the most challenging Radiohead songs and asked, 'Can you play this?' a lot of them stopped returning e-mails. But luckily, the ones who stuck with it are the ones in the band today."

The group's current set list includes more than 30 of Radiohead's most innovative and popular material, ranging from the multi-platinum concept album, OK Computer, to its equally successful follow-up, the experimental Kid A, to this year's name-your-price download, In Rainbows.

"What's That? (a Radiohead Project)" are eager to avoid being labeled as a "tribute band," largely because the project aspires to deliver fresh and spontaneous approaches to the presentation of Radiohead's music, and to avoid mimicry.

Like its namesake, the band is dedicated to improvisation and reinvention. "Our goal is to embrace the experimental nature of Radiohead's music, and to play it live for fans while remaining true to what makes the material so original," says musical director and keyboardist Marc Z.

The group has a mailing list which can be subscribed to via their myspace page. Periodic updates on live performances and other activities are sent out about 3 times per month.

DemianBand

Demian Dominguez is the most promising Blues guitarist/singer to ever emerge from the Latin American, and Spanish cultures. Demian’s musicianship sounds so authentically Blues that you would think Demian to be a native of the Southern United States, rather than his native Argentina and current home in Barcelona, Spain.
Currently, Demian is releasing in the United States and in Europe, his second CD entitled “Devil By My Side” featuring world renowned Bernard Allison along with Demianband. “Devil By My Side” will be promoted on radio and press internationally with a major impetus in the United States.
Demian cultivated his artistry while covering the Buenos Aires scene with his trio, and he shared the stage with well-known Argentine musicians, such as, Alejandro Lerner, Ricardo Mollo (Divididos), Pappo, Jorge Pinchevsky, Emphis la blusera, Willi Quiroga (Vox Dei), Alejandro Medina (Manal), Hector Starc, Walter Sidotti drums of de "Patricio Rey y los Redonditos de Ricotta"), and others.
In 1996 the Teatro General San Martin de Buenos Aires awarded Demian a certificate for the “Promotion of and Continuation of the Blues.” In 1997, MTV aired a 60 minute special entitled “MTV Outside,” in which Demian was involved. He was then invited to the Argentine Exposicion “Nacional Rock 30 Years” where he was part of a band promoting on television the "Toyota Hilux". He was invited to participate in the festivities of the 6th anniversary of the famed radio program of "Rock & Pop" "Buenos Aires Blues", playing along with well-known Argentine musicians such as, Pappo, Ricardo Mollo (Divididos), Juanse (Ratones Paranoicos), Maximo Pera Renauld, Rafael Nasta, Miguel Botafogo y Black Amaya.

Demian recorded his first CD entitled “Furia” in 1998 in Buenos Aires. “Furia” was aired on "Radio Nacional" of Argentina in a live broadcast throughout the entire country. In 2000 he recorded his second CD, "Heavy Blues" which was promoted throughout Argentina. In 2002, Demian moved to Barcelona, Spain where he re-formed Demianband. The band plays the circuit of clubs and bars and was invited to play in the "Festa de la Merce", "S.O.S Racisme" and blues festivals such as Reus, "Black Music" (Girona), Barcelona, Manresa, Cerdanyola and others while being a member of the Blues Society of Barcelona.
In 2005, Demian recored his third CD, "Bull Blues" which was released by Amphora Records. The musicians appearing with Demian on the album are Tito Bonacera on bass and harmonica, Dannyman Navarro on drums, and the invited guests were Luciano Matias on piano and Xavi Reija on drums. During both 2005 and 2006, Demian appeared often with Elliot Murphy and with Bernard Allison. In 2007 Demian Band recorded a DVD which was produced by Bad Music and the Barcelona Blues Society, in the legendary Sala Apolo de Barcelona.

Most recently in February, 2008 Demian Band just completed a tour featuring Lucia del Campo on Hammond B3 and bass, and Gustavo Segura on drums. The tour took the group to different cities in Germany where they advanced their new CD and where they recorded a live DVD in the club, Music Star.
One of the most special times in Demian’s career was when Bernard Allison – one of the most brilliant guitar players in the world blues music scene -- invited him to Karlsruhe, Germany, to perform with him. During the performance Bernard Allison pointed out to the audience how beautifully Demian had interpreted the music.

Now the tables have turned, and Bernard Allison appears on Demian’s new CD, “Devil Bu My Side” which also features Demian Dominguez along with Tito Bonacera on bass, Roger Serrahima on drums and Fernando Tejero on Hammond B3 and piano. The CD is schedule for international release in the Fall of 2008.
